HIV Testing Week 2019

This year, National HIV Testing Week starts on Saturday 16 November 2019.

To mark National HIV Testing Week, our Sexual Health Team will be out and about in the City offering fast, free and confidential HIV testing drop-ins. From Tunstall to Longton, we'll be providing free fingerprick testing with results in 20 minutes to anyone who wants to know their HIV status.

You can find an up-to-date list of the drop-ins at www.20mintesting.co.uk

It’s estimated that 1 in 14 people in the UK are living with HIV and remain undiagnosed, according to Public Health England. Testing is the only way to know for sure if you have HIV or not, as people sometimes live for years unaware that they have it.

It's important to get an early diagnosis when it comes to HIV, as the earlier you're diagnosed the less damage the virus does to your immune system.

So come and see our friendly team and get a test for HIV Testing Week - it only takes one fingerprick and 20 minutes!
