Free condoms, testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), sexual health advice and information about local support for local lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people will be available from our team at this year’s Stoke-on-Trent Pride event.
Stoke-on-Trent Pride takes place on Saturday 16th June at Hanley Park and the Sexual Health Team from Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Partnership NHS Trust will be attending the annual LGBT event, offering a wide range of sexual health services.
Zoe Holdcroft, LGBT lead in the Sexual Health Team, said “We're excited to be involved in another amazing celebration of the LGBT+ community! We'd encourage anyone attending to come and see us for a quick sexual health check-up and to stock up on some free condoms and lube. When better to take pride in your sexual health than Stoke-on-Trent Pride!?"
In addition to sexual health services, Gaylife’s pitch will include a safe space for young LGBT people to talk about their sexuality and gender identity and interact with other LGBT teenagers. The area will be supervised by staff members from the Partnership Trust’s Stoke-on-Trent based LGBT youth group, Galaxy.
In the Galaxy marquee, LGBT+ people aged 13-18 will have the opportunity to make some flags as well as a non-alcoholic cocktail bar
We hope to see you there!
